"Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children, and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God"Children naturally imitate their parents. Sometimes good - sometimes we wish they didn't.
We are dearly loved children. Let's rest in that, and imitate it by living a life of love.
Not only would this be a great way to live, but can you imagine if the world recognized God's love in us?

Seems to me another John said something about people around us being able to recognize us by our love!
It's amazing how often we are reminded in the Bible to be loving. And yet we often get so worked up and unloving as we discuss the importance of truth and doctrine.
Yes, I need to be reminded frequently. I know Christ's love is essential to unity. Yet my own emotions have show up as I try to debate ways of thinking that I think support divisions... Maybe if we were truly rooted in Christ's love we'd be better prepared for healthy discussions.
Thanks for the comments! God bless!
