Disclaimer: About This Blog

THIS BLOG IS: my personal journey of how I am rethinking some of my spiritual beliefs.
THIS BLOG IS NOT: intended to point fingers at people who I think are wrong.
I do not believe the final judgement will be based on how many correct answers we get on a theology exam. I believe many people throughout history have had genuine relationships with God, despite holding questionable beliefs and practices. I make no claim to having it all figured out or being your judge. If we end up disagreeing over these topics I pray we can find a way to demonstrate grace.

Playdough Scripture 2 Thessalonians 2:15

"Therefore, brothers, stand firm and hold to the traditions you were taught, either by our message or by our letter by your favorite denominations or movements of the past 2000 years."
2 Thessalonians 2:15 (Playdough Version)

This playdough scripture was triggered by Eric's post today: Some Traditions Really Are Helpful.

Right on target. How easy it is to embrace church traditions that have no basis in scripture whatsoever.

I always thought it was those other Christians that held tightly to non-biblical traditions. But I'm discovering my protestant evangelical background has it's share too.

Thanks! God bless!
