Disclaimer: About This Blog

THIS BLOG IS: my personal journey of how I am rethinking some of my spiritual beliefs.
THIS BLOG IS NOT: intended to point fingers at people who I think are wrong.
I do not believe the final judgement will be based on how many correct answers we get on a theology exam. I believe many people throughout history have had genuine relationships with God, despite holding questionable beliefs and practices. I make no claim to having it all figured out or being your judge. If we end up disagreeing over these topics I pray we can find a way to demonstrate grace.

I shall never be a heritic

"I shall never be a heretic; I may err in dispute, but I do not wish to decide anything finally; on the other hand, I am not bound by the opinions of men." - Martin Luther

You are the wrong person to determine whether you are a heretic or not.

History always shows that it is the church leaders who decide. It is they who decide and send people like you (and me!) to the scaffold or to the stake?

Be careful how you answer the door!

Thanks Frank.

I know almost everyone who has ever taken an unpopular stand on any position in Christian history has been called a heretic. Luther didn't want to be called a heretic, but he was called one. I just liked his logic here.

If someone wants to call me a heretic, that's their choice. History shows many heretics have been correct.

I am thankful killing heretics isn't as common as it once was. :)
